Profile

David Bettini is one of Western Australia’s most prominent landscape and aerial photographers and is based in Perth. Born and raised in outback Western Australia, David has travelled throughout the state from the tropical Kimberley to the temperate South Coast. He has published several books on Western Australia while his breathtaking images are in high demand both in Australia and overseas.

To capture his unique images David travels throughout Western Australia at all times of the year during various weather conditions. “I believe the best time to travel is when many would consider it to be the worst. For example most would rather avoid the oppressive heat and humidity of the Kimberley's wet season. However I find during this time the drama of the landscape is stunning as waterfalls, raging rivers and amazing cloud formations are awe-inspiring during this time of year”. Aspiring to be unique from other photographers David frequently heads up north in the middle of summer and ventures way down south during winter in an effort to capture Western Australia in all of her moods.

David has published three books, the latest being a stunning portrayal of the Pilbara region.
